SPIRIT
Like nesting dolls, your Four Expressions fold into themselves and are inter-connected. Your Spirit is the container for the other three expressions. In our current world, we’ve lost sight of how important it is to fuel our Spirits.
Think of Spirit as if it’s electricity, it’s the power that lights up our souls, minds and bodies. Our Spirits are connected to a Higher Power and we can strengthen our spiritual force through prayer, working with the elements and spending time in and with nature.
SOUL
Your Soul is the next expression in from the Spirit. If you look at Spirit like it is electricity, the Soul is like a light bulb. When the two expressions unite, the specific light that is YOU is created and shared. Our Souls are strengthened through creativity, story, symbolism and ceremony. Yep, when you’re bawling your eyes out during your favorite movie, that’s some pure and potent Soul therapy!
The work we do at 38eleven allows you to dive deep into the Expression of your Soul. Here, you will explore Contracts that are keeping you stuck as well as Gifts that you can remember (and discover) to give you an extra boost as you walk through this life.
MIND
You know the voice inside your head that’s constantly chattering about what could possibly go wrong next? Meet the Mind. Your Mind is incredibly powerful and if left unintended, will default to a negative script because that’s what’s needed for you to survive. But when your Mind is acknowledged and attended to, you’ll find it can be quite positive, empowering and a happy place to be.
Your Mind is nourished by practices like meditation, affirmations, words and reflection. When every spare moment is spent scrolling everyone else’s scripts instead of sitting with your own, you’ll quickly plummet your Mind’s Expression. Spend more time witnessing and listening to YOU!
BODY
Lastly, the final Expression is Body. We are all quite aware of our Bodies, but many do not realize that a physical issue, pain or ailment starts at the outermost layer of Spirit. This is why adopting simple practices to revitalize your Spirit can charge, nurture and even heal, the Body. Your Body itself craves movement, hydration and a clean, inspiring environment. Your Body is a communication channel for the other three expressions to send and alert messages through, too. Our five senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste can often pick up a signal from the Spirit, Soul and Mind. This work will help you connect with your body in ways you’ve never felt before.

Simple Practices to Amp Up Your Four Expressions

SPIRIT
Walk through the morning dewy grass barefoot.
Stop and smell the flowers.
Take 7 long, deep breaths.
Imagine the water during a shower is cleansing your electric field.
Send a prayer for guidance.

SOUL
Write a letter to your soul and see what comes up.
Listen to your favorite song.
Watch for specific numbers, symbols, names or hunches that may be visiting you frequently.
Draw a map of the destination your soul has been dreaming about.
Go on a “treasure hunt” walk and see what you’re drawn to.

MIND
Set a timer for 3 minutes, close your eyes and just witness your thoughts as if they are clouds passing by.
Give yourself a pep talk in the mirror.
Choose 3 words that speak to you, write them on a note card and hang it up somewhere you look often.
Jot down a worry that’s been on loop and let it live there instead of in your head.

BODY
Go for a daily walk, even if it’s freezing or sweltering outside!
Drink a lot of water… half your body weight in ounces every day.
Move, so you sweat at least three times a week.
Stretch.
Have a dance party while cooking dinner!
